Herb Stoddard was such a great teacher. We went on a field trip to a tiny town in the mountains and measured Romanesque churches and drew plans of them. Because of that experience and many others in that class, I did start out as an art history major in college but got a teacher who was arrogant, condescending and a total sexist pig. so I dropped it. Teachers do make a difference!
